Electric drivers seat rocks back and forth. Has anyone found a fix, or made a DIY on how to solve this?

I've got a 2018 Ram 1500 LIMITED with the electric seats. When I accelerate it rocks backwards, and then forward when I brake. The base is firmly bolted to the floor so that's not the problem, and it's the whole seat (base and backrest) that rocks as a whole. I previously had an identical truck (a 2014 limited) and it had also developed the same problem. I've googled it and read many forums of people with the same problem, but have yet to find someone detailing the exact problem, defective parts, and how to change them. I have two trucks at the moment and I'm thinking of stealing the base and/or parts from the passenger side of the other truck. Was wondering if this will work or not before I do it? I'm hoping someone has some insight into this, and if not then maybe I'll make a detailed write up.

I ran into this same thing on my drivers seat. Truck was rearended in 23. After truck was finished, I had to bring it back to the body shop for that movement. The only repair was to replace the seat frame. Was quite a fight with insurance, but I won when I found a safety statement in my Alldata.

Yeah it definitely feels like a safety issue. The seat moving back and forth while one is braking or accelerating could have some unintended consequences. But I don't think Ram has acknowledged this, so I'm going to try and figure something out.

Passenger Seat Base will not function on Drivers side.

BUT, you may be able to change around seat parts, to make it work

I believe that 4 Bolts hold the seat frame to the Floor
4 more bolts hold the seat to the frame

this video may help you
