Engine Failure While Driving

2016 1500 SLT 5.7L V8: While driving, my engine shuts off and the truck flashes "put in park to start." There are no warning lights on. I pull over, put it in park, and restart it. This has happened twice. The first time at 40mph and the 2nd time at 70mph....not impressed. Any suggestions?

Doesn't sound like engine failure to me.

Possible key issue? Could be a lot of things though and probably not an easy find being so intermittent.

Ignition or TIPM, if I had to guess win module. When ignitions fail the truck "thinks" you shut it off, no way to throw a code. You can clean them, check out the youtubes. By the way, you can also bypass them, which can be helpful in verifying.

Dodge Ram WIN module cheap fix (won’t start)

Instead of replacing WIN module just bypass the start function of it by using a push button switch wired into the start relay

Did you ever find the problem? Been having same issue. Center lane going 75 isn't fun
