I don't think it's an issue of losing an engine. I think it's more about the gradual loss of efficiency that happens as an engine wears. The less wear there is, the better your engine performs over time.
A gradual loss of efficiency as the engine wears? Can you explain to me why my 1997 1500 with the 5.9 that now has 304,000+ miles still shows 39 psi of oil pressure?
It's the same as the day I bought it back in 2000.

Canton has been building their Accusump pre-lubers/oilers for probably 30 years or better now.
I'm guessing most of you guys have been under a rock if you didn't know you could buy a pre-oiler :Big Laugh:
They're not the only ones building something similiar, google is your friend boys ;)



I knew he'd show up! lol

I remember how long it took them to fire up a big steam turbine in a utility power plant after maintenance shutdown. They floated the the turbine shaft on journal bearings with the circulating oil system prior to turning it at all.
