Hi, I’ve got a 2009 5.7 Hemi with a bad engine, I’ve got the chance of a 2018 5.7 Hemi with low miles, will this engine work with my 2009 engine management?
Thanks.

I'd look into it see if the reluctor wheel on the crank and cam make sure that's even compatable I think the mds system is different as well.
I wana say no for some reason. If it was a 2011+ I think it'd work but 09 is a different era as far as I know. Don't think it's crossable.

I don't think it would work as is. I've heard the same as what Brandon said. The crankshafts are different part numbers. I believe the MDS solenoids are shorter & use a different style connector. That part is not as big of a deal as the crank though. You might be able to swap out the tone wheel
