Hello, I'm From France and after my problem with large connectors under chassis, resolved, here I am with another problem, Ram 1500 Laramie 2014 154000 miles, reprog E85 since September 25, which works very well except since last Saturday, it started to shake at low speed, basically I can't accelerate when it is below 2000 rpm, it shakes very badly throughout the PU, passed 2000 more tremors, but power down and it regulates to 3500/4000 if I push a little, same as kick down! I put 30l of 95 back in, it didn't change anything, disconnected the battery (terminals in contact) nothing either, no engine light either, at idle it is stable, no misfire it is normal except..... I got the error code P 0301, I swapped the coil of cyl 1 with cyl 2 P0301 disappeared but I got a code "ignition coil B secondary circuit "so I put a new coil in and it didn't change anything, now I don't know what to do anymore
I tried in manual mode to cancel the MDS, it doesn't change anything.
almost 2 hours with Cat thing going around in circles with suppositions and in fact he can't find either!!!! So has this ever happened to anyone in the forum ?
It's mainly this problem without engine light and now no more error codes

If you have ruled out the ignition coils, the other two main culprits could be a bad injector(s) or a wiped out cam lobe/lifter.
I would lean towards the injectors first based on what a former Dodge mechanic telling me about vehicles that ran a lot of E85 would usually puke injectors. E85 fuel has less energy per gallon so fuel injectors have to cycle more and/or longer than when compared to regular gasoline.

How does it idle? How does it do in Park? At 2k rpm? It's likely a cam lob on 1, but just maybe in the transmission.

In the last pages we got a boro on clean injectors, big wow. Or Rick will tell you how to clean them.

It's good on idle which means it isn't a low rpm issue, it is a load issue. It could be your torque converter or the torque chain as in chain or torque not a specific chain, IE pump or clutches etc. Or yes some engine parts can cause issue as well, but first identify then move forward. So if you take it up to 2k rpm in Park = no issue? Does your transmission have 8 gears?

Yes 8 speed, but what is the link with the origin of the problem, code P0301?
Cylinder No. 1 misfires which disappeared when changing the coil with cylinder No. 2, and I have no error codes or lights on the dashboard!

Just a single mis fire didn't mean anything unless it repeats or travels. If it isn't fixed it is just there is still material on cam lob 1 and will present again, or it's something else. The fact is it is/was a load issue, so cam lob fails like this and so does trans issues such as torque converter. If you get more mis fires, more likely cam lob 1 then trans. If code travels to 2 just replace coil.

you can't just check fluid level on a 8 speed, Forget about that.

I don't really have much advice, But I would start by pulling all the spark plugs and check them for color and wear.
a black dirty one would tell you if one cylinder is not firing correct.
But usally that would have a poor idle as well.

BTW, I hear stories about cheap Chinese crap injectors that don't work, from amazon.
Fake brands , like bosh that are not.

I had something similar with my truck that runs on liquid petroleum gas (LPG or GPL in France). No engine light also. It ended up being a problem with air/fuel mixture throwing the engine off balance. So either the engine is not getting enough fuel or you have a vacuum leak. With a scan tool or AlfaOBD you can check fuel trims while driving and see if the engine is not getting enough or too much fuel.

I do not have GPL or LPG , the E85 reprog is from september 2025 and it work normaly , juste one time two days before the problem , I had the same problem for minut 30 and after normaly for two days , and now it is allways ! I think spark or injector , The coil on the second cylinder change the error code , so I think it comes from the ignition.
