I have a 2016 Ram Power Wagon with the 6.4L in it. About a month ago the truck basically went into limp mode, red lighting bolt flashing, CEL came on and then the truck basically left me stranded. Had the Vehicle towed to the shop. When the shop received the truck they started it up all lights were off no active codes. Shop called me so went and picked it up. Drove across the street to grocery store, shut the vehicle off went into the store. Came out and went to start it. It would not start properly, kept trying to turn over but would never engage properly. So I jumped out frustrated went back into the store to calm down. Went back out and it started up but had a CEL on. Took it back to the shop. And when they looked at it had the active DTC pointing to throttle body. Shop inspected the throttle body cleaned it, performed all test. Truck running good for about 2.5 weeks. Used the truck today to take trash to the dump ran great. Drove back home and parked it. A few hours later went to go start it to get ready to head into town, and at start up it was surging bad. Shut truck off and restarted acted normal. My question is what is going on with this thing. Since I have owned it I change oil every 5,000 miles, replaced the battery, air filter, cabin filter, back up camera,And MAF sensor. And now throttle body cleaning. It only has 61,825 miles on it. Am I missing something

I DO know that Chrysler products have had many failures of the APP sensor/ ECM. I've replaced them before for the exact set of issued you describe.

I am not submitting this as a fix or diagnosis; merely a path to a possible answer. The truck needs to be diagnosed by someone competent, not the shop where you took it.
