engine temp malfunction

Good day. I have a video that shows what my truck is doing in cold temps. Anyone else have this problem? Dealership cant do nothing because they have to duplicate the problem and since this only happens sporadically it will be hard to get them to look at it. even with video evidence they are dumbfounded.

this has been going on for the last couple years and just recently happened again..

Any suggestions or fixes would be greatly appreciated.
take a look at the engine temp guage. this is within 5 minuntes of driving in winter.

Sensor issue, IMHO. Throw any codes????

nope nothing, been to the shop twice after it has happened and no codes. I think it is obviously a sensor but they just seem to avoid dealing with it..

Besides looking at dashboard, stored codes, suggest U use code reader and actually read truck, or go to like an Auto Zone, places read for free and see if any actual codes thrown, stored...

Update!!! Dealership changed the temp sensor. a code was logged stating temp sensor pending. Had the truck back for a week and still does the same thing...
any other options you guys can think of that may be causing this to happen?

Sounds like you have short some where
