Engine/Transmission issues???

I haven't seen anything on here about this yet but I have a 2014 1500 5.7L Hemi with the 8-speed auto transmission. Only has 4500 miles on it. Yesterday, I was coming to a stop sign and as soon as I came to a complete stop, the truck shifted and put itself into neutral. I had to put it in park and back into drive in order for it to go again. Today, I slowed down to make a turn into the bank, slowed to about 5 mph or so and the truck died. Power stayed on, but the engine just died out. Had to put it in park, restart it and then go again. Had no issues restarting it. Now to me, it sounds like it's idling at extremely low RPM's but I haven't adjusted anything yet. That would of causes it to shift itself into neutral either. Could be unrelated but still. Anyone have any ideas on what may be going on? Only mods I have so far is the flowmaster exhaust system and some exterior cosmetic stuff. Thanks for looking.

It almost sounds like a "limp mode" condition.

It almost sounds like a "limp mode" condition.

No lights, no anything. Everything is perfect except for those two random occurrences.

FWIW, when my trans went into limp mode, my check engine light did not come on, but the code was present when hooked to a scanner.

I haven't ran into that issue but sometimes I forget to switch to park before shutting off the engine. The PRND lights flash and then it goes to park by itself.

kinda sounds like limp mode but i think that only limits your gears so maybe something else

Only other thing I've randomly noticed is that when coming to a stop sometimes it shifts pretty hard while downshifting to first gear and the truck will kind of "jump" forward just a bit while I'm braking. May be completely unrelated. I could be just paranoid now that I've had those other two incidents. Guess I could take it to the dealer to ask about this "limp" mode you guys mentioned. Appreciate the help!

the shift from 2 to 1 is probably the clunk everyone has been talking about and most likely not related
