Engine unknown year

I just aquired a 5.7L hemi and have no idea what year or vehicle it came from. Is there any way to find out through serial numbers?

I acquired the motor as I want the passenger side head…are these 2 heads interchangeable?, they look identical but the serial number is slightly different letters

As long as it's an 09 and newer engine,the heads will work on your 16.Pull the intake,if it has the VVT solenoid at the front of the engine,it's an 09 and newer engine,no VVT solenoid,means it's the older 08 and earlier engine

There is no vvt valve…well at least I got the motor dirt cheap and can sell it for scrap and recoop my money back. Thanks, appreciate the info.

There's several used 5.7's on the AB Marketplace right now ,so maybe check your local Marketplace and see if there's any used 5.7's local to you
