I'd pay just to keep the ethanol out of my fuel system, it's approx $1.20_ more a gallon here if you can find it and usually 90 octane

Alcohol is generally hard on vehicles. Unless designed specifically for it and extreme care is taken with the fuel. And alcohol gets 50% the fuel economy as gasoline.

If your truck is a daily runner I don't think ethanol poses any problem. The ethanol mixes easily with water. ( think humidity in the air ) If you park your truck for a long time ethanol free may be good idea. Eth free is also good for small engines ( lawnmowers, chain saws ) since the gas takes longer to be used.

it is not that the fuel take longer to get used. usually smaller amounts of fuel go bad quicker especially when left out in the sun. also ethanol is actually bad for stuff like chain saws and weedeater or anything really that size. the fuel usually dries out the diagrams and causes issues even tho new parts are suppose to withstand being exposed to ethanol.

as far as being used in a daily driven fuel injected vehicle you should be all good. if it was a older carbed vehicle i would recommend only running ethanol free. carbs and ethanol really just don't get along unless you are constantly rebuilding them. same applies to atv's and boat motors that are carbed. ethanol free fuel is the best route to go with them if you want to keep things working like they should and not be constant rebuilding the carbs.

Interesting your regular unleaded is 85 Octane--that's low. FCA recommends 89 for the Hemi, but many of us get by on 87 Octane. It is my personal belief that by keeping blow-by, oil vapor and PCV yiltch out of the intake a catch can makes 87 a bit more agreeable to the Hemi because the contaminants aren't there to cause knocking.

So, I would pay .20 more for 87 Ethanol Free than for 85 octane anything.

If you have 85 octane gas available you must live at a higher altitude. I wish 87 E0 was 2.20 a gallon. We have it here but it costs the same as 93 premium E10 at $2.99 a gallon.

I live in North Texas on a trip to southern Oklahoma earlier this week I found some 100% gas and filled up. I reset my trip meter and am currently getting 17.6-18.3 up from my previous excitement of averaging about 14.6. These are all highway mpg. IMPO it’s worth it to me

I would use non ethanol fuel every chance I could, even if it was 50 cents more. At 51 cents, I would have to consider using ethonal, but I wouldn't be happy abut it. Man I wish I had that station here in nor cal u lucky sunofagun.
