Having rewatched this:
I have some thoughts and questions for the group.

1. I wonder if Ram will expand the capabilities of the eTorq system via software updates, i.e., go from half a wheel turn of boost to 2, 4, or more wheel turns during auto stop/start? As they get more long term durability data I would think RAM could squeeze a bit more mileage out of the system.

2. Allow torque boot at high RPM? Again, as they get more long term data.

3. Does the 48V pack negate the need for a dual battery setup? I'm thinking of those that run a fridge, or other camping accessories. I thought I read somewhere that the 48V pack recharges the 12V battery as needed.

4. Has anyone directly tapped the 48V pack for power? I guess that would not be necessary if the answer to #3 is yes.

Interesting questions.

1. Just from my experience having the eTorque, I would not want it to push any further than it does now at restart. When sitting at a stop light, if you aren't paying attention and don't keep enough pressure on the pedal, the restart due to a long light and related movement definitely gets your attention. I make sure to leave enough room for this. They would need to address the restart torque when the brake peddle is still depressed first.

2. Could be nice for short boosts. Might just be enough to put you in a spot you can't get out of when the battery dies though too.

3. I don't think the battery would be big enough for this. I saw somewhere it has approx 10 minutes of power to run all the electronics and still have the juice to restart the engine. I would think a camping fridge would drain that pretty quick. Could be a great emergency back up to self jump start your own vehicle if the 12V craps out though.

4. Haven't seen anything on this. Would be interesting to see.
