Hey guys, I have done research on exhuast, but I am still lost on what will work for what I want. I have tried watching every YouTube video out there lol.

I have a 2009 Ram 1500 TRX4 with a Hemi 5.7 with an S&B Intake from MOE's. Other than that it is bone stock. It has a single out behind the passenger tire, which means no dual bumper for me :(.

What I want it to be like is; I want a nice deep, mean rumble, but I don't want it to be loud in the cab when I am driving at highway speeds. I am not against going duals, but do I want duals out the back? Or duals behind the tires? My biggest concern is that I do not want it to be loud at highway speeds, your help and guidance is greatly appreciated! Thanks.:patriot:

You could get a bumper from a dual exhaust truck and put a nice Maganaflow or Solo-Performance full cat back system on it.

Cheapest would be to buy a Magnaflow muffler and have a shop do their work!

I had the same questions you did when I first started all of this. I to did not want LOUD! I wanted a ittle deeper sound but was really more interested in performance than loud or looks. It would be more than melancholy if I ended up with a loud cab or the dreaded highway drone. So after much reading and talking to custom exhaust pros locally I came to this conclusion(My Conclusion, Not Gospel). That unless you go "true dual" you don't gain anything going single to dual from Cat-back other than looks, sound etc..... Magnaflow however would differ in that opinion and try and sell you a single to dual bolt on system that cost $700. So like yourself I have a single in single out system and what I did was order the Magnaflow Y pipe and an 18" Magnaflow muffler. The Y pipe will open up the flow after the Cats, what is under there is a twisted, restrictive mess. So Magnaflow offers several sizes that all perform the same, same effect, same technology however differ in sound. The smaller the louder. After reading here in this forum and listening to many clips I decided on the middle of the road and got the 18". I found a guy that will weld them in place for $100. I will leave my resonator in for now and see how I like the sound, I figure I can cut it out later if I think I want it louder. I hope this helps for whatever its worth.
