Exhaust help..

I bought the 14" magnaflow muffler for my 2014 Ram Hemi. I was wondering if I could buy the exhaust extension pipe to hook it up to the stock duel exhaust. Thanks Jimmy

Shouldn't need an extension pipe if its just a swap. And I am assuming its a single in dual out.

Yes the stock muffler looks real long and the one I bought is the 14" magnaflow I was thinking I needed to add pipe to hook to the duels on it from the factory...

Unless you bought the Mufflex kit which is a Magnaflow muffler with pipe extensions welded on, you WILL need some pipe to extend the muffler. Mufflers on their own are significantly shorter than the enormous stock muffler.
You may want to consider having a shop weld it on. If you use pipe there will be several joints which can not only leak, but be prone to vibration, and, well, falling apart. Two of us installed my 22" Magnaflow muffler with the widest band clamps we could find, and the passenger side exhaust after the muffler fell off a week afterwards, scraping up the side of the tip as it dragged along the road until I could pull over. Not funny.
We're both mechanically inclined, didn't take short cuts and it still didn't end up well. I got it welded after that, and hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I had the exact same magnaflow installed yesterday. I had it installed a local muffler shop on my stock duals and yes they had to cut and wield a small pipe since the magnaflow is smaller than the stock muffler. By the way I love the sound... It is not too loud and the there is hardly any drone compared to the Flowmaster I had on my old Silverado. I could not be happier.

thanks for the reply's and that's what I thought I had to add pipe to the muffler.
