Well i took the truck back to the exhaust shop today to get the 18" Magnaflow i originally requested. After putting 500 miles on the 14", i can see why so many of the guys here love it. It really sounded awesome. If it was 10 years ago i would have kept it. Unfortunately it was just too loud for road trips with my kids :(

So for anyone considering upgrading their stock muffler for something a little louder & deeper without wanting to go too loud, the Magnaflow 18" is the ticket.

As for me... maybe a cutout is in my future.. hmmmm... ;)

Hi Guys, A couple of exhaust systems to consider.

1. My R/T had a resonator in front of each exhaust tip. A simple and very economical way is to have the resonators taken off. The sound is great and (NO) drone in the truck.

2. The second way we tried on my friends R/T was to go to Summit Racing and buy a muffler called the Variflow. This muffler is very unique in the fact it has an internal adjustable baffle system. It came with an adjustable electric rocker switch we installed under the dash. This muffler has the best of all sounds that is adjustable from almost silent to that great Hemi growl..............LWP
