Hey y'all,

Looking to do a cat delete+muffler swap and was wondering what size exhaust pipe I need to buy to replace the cats. Also, does anyone know who does make a tune to deal with the o2 sensor issues?

Thanks!

Also, does anyone have a place that they like to buy exhaust pipe + clamps from? Is amazon/walmart/HD okay, or should I look somewhere more reputable? Thanks again!

You have the older engine so I'm not sure, but on my 09 it's 2.5" both sides back to the Y-pipe, then a 3" the rest of the way. It's easy enough to measure, they will be nominal to a 1/2".

I recently did a bunch of exhaust work myself. Summit had everything I needed at good prices.

Fancy seeing you here

I may just have to get under and measure on either side of the cat. Shouldn't be too hard.

Awesome, I'll check them out. Do you like the clamps that slide over the tube and Tighten down, or did you weld? I know how to weld, and sorta have access to one, but the clamps would be easier.

I weld as much as I can just because I trust my welds more than the clamping bolts but there are certain places where it's really difficult to get the welder all the way on top. When I did mine, I started with the muffler and added pipes going to and from it, slowly welding it together as a larger and larger solid unit. Then when I had this sub assembly how I wanted it, I clamped it to where it attached to the existing pipes, as the proximity to the frame was going to make welding all the way around impossible.

Yeah, I'll probably end up pulling the whole exhaust and working on it that way. I may also put something like the valvetronics active valve muffler so I have a nice combo of quiet when wanted, and loud when wanted.

Thanks for all the help!

i believe my tuner uses HP, he just shut off the rear O2 sensors
(im running high flow cats, but still)

mine is a '17 so i dont know if its all the same or not, but i had to get the PCM unlocked and a PH license attached to it

if HD stands for the **** depot, i would not spend a dime on those degenerates
years ago they had their own float in one of the sodomite parades (they have since scrubbed the video from the web, but this isnt 1984, you cant alter the past)

ill do without before i buy something from them

like raisin mentioned, summit or jeggs would be my go to

Noted. I'll stick to summit or jeggs- I assume somewhere like autozone is in the same boat? Mainly for convenience... driving 20 mins to the store to get the exact part I need vs ordering it online.
