In the market for an exhaust system. Have a 4th gen 5.7 with no other mods done. Lift, rims and tires are being done on Friday. Any advice is a big help.

You have 1000 options here from a simple weld on muffler, bolt on muffler, full catback system with new tailpipes and larger exhaust tips, or as far as going with full longtube headers and high flow cats.

From a bang for buck perspective, I prefer the bolt on Mufflex bolt on muffler kits with a set of clamp on 5" exhaust tips. This gives yo the sound and look of a full catback system at about half the price.

Yall are not far from me. Do you carry the system and black tips? debating between 14" and 18"

We do have all of the Mufflex kits in stock...muffler delete, 14", 18", and 24". Our bolt on 5" tips are polished, but can easily be painted or powdercoated black.

We also offer discounted pricing to the guys that pick up locally as it saves us shipping cost. Shoot me a PM when you are ready, and I'll send you your discounted pick up price.

Idk... The lift and tires are gonna limit ya.

Jk..

But advice.. Literarlly anything that flows exhaust. Since your not modified, I don't suggest messing with an entire system.
For sound ... Drop a weld in muffler. Magnaflow or flowmaster.

Carven Progressive exhaust system.
One of if not the best sounding muffler on a Hemi.

I have the Mopar Cat-back Exhaust System, and I really like it.

It is not too noisy when I need it (freeway cruising, idling at traffic jam), it rumbles when I step on the gas, and it sounds great during start-up. The two 5" tailpipes also looks good with the truck.

I had my dealer installed it, the tech said it was a straightforward installation and everything fit.

A little pricy, yet it will be covered under the new car and extended warranty that I have with RAM.

Regards,

Garrett, I have the Magnaflow CAT-back exhaust, single side exit, for comparison.

Our customers love the Carven muffler kits with the 5" tips as an option. They have a progressive and a competitor (louder) kit. Great quality and sound while being inexpensive compared to a cat back

I have this set-up with the 24" Magnaflow and chrome 5" tips.
Nothing but good things to say. Nice mellow rumble at idle, with sound that says "I've got a Hemi!" when under acceleration and then is quiets on the freeway (~1800 rpm) so you can have a conversation or listen to music without annoying (or headache inducing) drone, even when MDS turns off half your cylinders in ECO.

I really don't think you can go wrong replacing the factory issue "boat anchor" with any direct flow muffler, but I would avoid chambered mufflers.

I have always had and liked loud exhaust. I bought the Progressive Carven, and to be quite honest I am shocked at how loud it is in the cab and how loud it is outside of the truck. I can't believe that someone would want louder. I also think a lot of my issue is I have a crew cab so the muffler has more interior noise due to location. I will say that under throttle and throttle burps that it definitely sounds good though.

I am torn between Mufflex 14" and 18". I like a loud exhaust but dont want an extreme drone in the cab. I drive mostly highways everyday and am on the phone a good bit.

I have been running the 14" Mufflex kit for the past few months on my 2015. I didnt have any issues with cabin drone until I installed my 37's. With the 37's, my truck was constantly going in and out of 7th and 8th gear on the highway which was getting annoying. If you have a 35" or shorter tire, then I dont think this will be an issue for you. The 14" sounds really nice at idle and at WOT.

I will be running 305/55R20 so I should be good.
