Yeah, so do I. I used a tiny bit of it to buy my extended warranty. It's a gamble, no doubt. And I'm not usually one for extended warranties. But it seemed a reasonable risk considering almost all 3/4 ton+ pickups are among the least reliable vehicles in the USA every year.
Passed Suresky often enough, haven't been there though. I've bought 5 vehicles from Warwick jeep, dodge and ram.
I've tried to give Warwick CJDR money for years, and they always fell just short of goal. It's even more annoying because they're significantly closer to me.
Me too. In over 50 years of owning vehicles, total would be more than 100 with a wide assortment of makes and models, and putting millions of miles on them, all bought used except 2, I have never had to do a motor, transmission or anything else major. Many were sold with over 200,000 miles on the clock. I am so far ahead of the game on not having bought new for the warranty or buying extended warranty that I could completely blow up the next 5 and still be way out front. Modern cars are FAR more relaible than the ones for the 60s, 70s and 80s, but the one thing that is true is the electronics are very expensive to fix and they tend to break more often.
Your last statement does not really apply to US brand full sized pickups in general. They are consistently ranked at or near the bottom for reliability. Here's one of many links showing that extended warranties on Ram's is a better than average bet:
