Factory Side steps removable?

there was a set of westin chrome side steps on when i bought my truck.

just having a quick glance it looks like they are bolt into the body mounts and attch to color match plates!


does that seem right?

any pics? I mounted my own Westins and they have a mounting "kit" that does use one of the body mounting points

My truck came with aftermarket running boards on it, I removed them a couple months ago when I installed the level. There was 2 bolts on each end of each board, 1 really long one that goes up into the cab, and one that goes to the side. Once those bolts are out they literally just fall off and hit you in the head (ask me how I know lol)
