Fastman Ported TB - Feeler Thread

I got a 85mm ported TB that doesn't seem to like my cam/tune combination so I want to see if there is anyone interested and what price range you guys would be looking around.

It is a Fastman 85mm Tapered TB with a halfshfat. Bought it about a year ago for around $200 new, it has roughly 12k miles on it. It has the 05 plug on it but I believe you can use it to replace any of the newer TB's as well with the "801" number. (03's & 04's are out of luck here).

Made the truck a lot more pepy during city driving, increased the throttle sensitivity quite a bit too (which is part of the problem I have with it now since it is to sensitive with the tune)

If I wanted to, I'd have to wait till after christmas. Would you want the stock OEM one I have to replace yours?

Nope I have the stock one off mine back in there now. So its basically a paper weight sitting in the garage at the moment

so why wont it work on an '03?? different plug? wtf?
i've been looking at these on and off but havent pulled the trigger.
damn '03 outcast..

The connector for the 03 and 04's are different than the ones for the 05's on up.

could i use the '05 plug and splice the wires into my harness?
how many wires come out of the connector?

That I dont know, it might also have to do with the TPS sensor on in the throttle body itsself and how it communicates with the PCM.

03 ones are even different part # than the 04's from what I had read into it.

If your Runnin an 05 Snag er up Boys as that is a great price!

I had to pay 300 for mine (if it ever gets here...LOL>>>)

Make sure the gasket to the TB on the backside (the Orange one) dont move or slip out. Also be careful unplugging your harness it gets stuck sometimes on the clip.
