Fifth wheel Hitch

Just picked up a used Curt A 16 K slider hitch with the brackets. It came out of a 1500 and I want to install it in a 3500 would I need new brackets? Hitch is only 2 yrs old.

I think the brackets under the bed are universal? It's been a hot minute since I've installed one of these and looked closely. EVERYTHING inside the truck bed is universal and it doesn't matter what truck they came from or go into.

If your 3500 has the factory gooseneck/fifth-wheel prep package you would need to use a frame rail kit to mount the hitch on like this one;
