Today was my first time at the track with the new truck. I was excited to get into the 13's but I know I can do better. I could not hook up on my street tires. Once I get my takeoff down, I hope to drop my time. Next time I will try to takeoff with traction control on. I had it off and tried to feather the pedal but I just couldnt perfect it today. Had a lot of fun, and look forward to doing it again. The guy I raced was a 2008 Charger R/T with exhaust, intake, and tune. He was surprised I had a better time, but he beat me due to my poor takeoff. l0l

Whats your altitude. Time seems kinda slow for all the mods you have. Theres 2013 express 8 speeds running this stock. And just keep the traction control on. You will get better times that way. I always do.

I've never been to a track, or really paid attention to drag races, but how can you have a better 1/4 time but have a slower speed and get beat? Is the race not a 1/4 race?

Reaction time. The 1/4 mile time is measured from the starting line to the finish line. But if you sit there asleep at the wheel at the start then the other guy is going to get to the finish line before you. So your total time will be longer. 1/4 mile + reaction time = total time.

That makes sense. I wasn't aware of a reaction time.

I was at sea level in Sonoma, ca. The first thing I will do at the track next time is keep traction control on. Hopefully it will bring my times down.

He's probably running 22's which is killing his time. You guys run better times with traction control on??? Something isn't right with that. Congrats on hitting 13's!
