Hello all!

My wife just purchased a Ram 1500 for me while I am deployed (she is a keeper)

It did not come with tow hooks ( big horn chrome front bumper) and so I have been looking into adding a pair. However I am not a fan of the “hook” style. Which led me to the Rebel style loops.

I believe the mounting surfaces are the same however I am worried about clearances . Does anybody have any experience with using rebel style hooks on normal rams? If not how much clearance is there ? They look like they almost rub from the pictures I have seen .

That’s what I saw too, however the actual thickness of the hook is what worries me . The pictures I have seen with the oem hooks look like a tight fit to the bumper.

Can anybody with tow hooks chime in on how much clearance there is ?

Although Id rather the open hook vs a closed loop so its not being pulled off center. They look the same thickness if you want to go with the closed loop ones.

I'm going to go ahead and give em a try. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Small caveat, I am currently deployed and I doubt my wife will install them so it may be a while...
