I used cheap fram 5w30 oil is this what's causing the issue or should I replace my sensor? I replaced it within last 500miles and truck was reading 20psi at idle then dropped to 5-7 and went back to 20 then back down to 5, I'm running a hellcat oil pump. I used cheap oil to make sure my oil leak was fixed so I didn't have to waste extra money on oil.

I would bet its something with your pump installation. Cheap oil will have fewer cleaning and protecting additives but psi comes from thickness, which should be what the label says, even on cheap fluid.

Is your cheap fluid some parts store generic or some guy sold you a 5 gallon jug with no label and said its 5-30 I promise?

oil pump was working fine prior to fixing this oil leak, the cheap oil is just fram 5w30 i used fram incase i had to drain the oil to pull the oil pan again as i dont have a clean oil pan to reuse the oil. the pump has less then 500miles on it

I would bet an install issue or the pump itself.
pump was working fine friday, it has less then 500miles on it more then 300miles. truck would always start 80-90 psi cold start and come down to 20-22 warm at idle, 35-44 cruising

also note i did drop the oil pan to fix this oil leak and replaced the oil pan gasket but i KNOW for a FACT the o ring on the pickup tube is on its a new o ring and just no chance it came off, the pickup tube screen was clean when i removed it, so im at a loss only other thing i can think to do is buy a mechanical gauge and check it that way, but the sensor is less then 500miles as well so i dont know...

Yea stop running it I know you say their is no chance that the oring for pickup tube was messed up but its either that or your pump my bet is the Oring but once your in that far it makes no sense to not change the pump.

pump is new and the oring and if a brand new o ring fell off i would've noticed it on my driveway, it doesn't slide easily and all i did was remove it pulled gasket off and threw new gasket on and threw the tube back on. but im testing oil pressure with mechanical gauge first before i rip off the timing cover.

Not saying that the oring wasnt installed sometimes if not pushed in even you can chip it/cause oil pressure loss I have done it a few times I have a fail proof controversial fix for that that I wont mention ahaha.
Hopefully your sensor is bad.

What made you change the oil pump in the first place? If your awnser is because of low oil pressure then you have bigger issues I noticed in the picture above your truck has 278k? orig engine or no? if so your trying to fix a clapped out worn out engine lol.

i originally changed it because on start up it was 50-55 psi at warm idle it was 17-18 so i replaced it then i was getting 80-90 cold start oil psi warm idle was sitting 20-25 psi cruising temp 34-50 at warm depends on rpm and speed

also no clue if its original motor all i know is a older guy owned this truck by stuff left in the truck, but it was a pos and was not taken care of lol.... dude committed insurance fraud on this truck...... bad cam bad lifters bad spark plugs bad sensors..... alot of **** was bad on it... bad backup camera.... ALL 4 TIRES WERE SHOWING WIRE WHEN IT WAS WRECKED.... shouldn't of bought it, but basically pistons didn't look bad when i had the heads off i did replace 1 head, replaced cam, lifters, etc so top of motor is all good, crank looks good from what i can tell with oil pan off... but basically my oil psi was fine friday, didn't do anything besides pull the oil pan off today and replaced the gasket and install a electric battery lockout and then i started the truck.... if my oil pressure gauge says its running 50+ psi im going to pull the electric battery lockout see if that changes anything, don't know all i know is im 15k+ into this pos
