I was thinking it would be the O ring, they are easy to mess up and should always use a new one with a bit of lube. You may have, I skipped some posts.
Should be smooth sailing now, we hope :smoke2:

also note i did drop the oil pan to fix this oil leak and replaced the oil pan gasket but i KNOW for a FACT the o ring on the pickup tube is on its a new o ring and just no chance it came off, the pickup tube screen was clean when i removed it, so im at a loss only other thing i can think to do is buy a mechanical gauge and check it that way, but the sensor is less then 500miles as well so i dont know...
You seem to have oil restriction for your pressure to drop.

I'd still be concerned with 20-25 psi at idle. At idle 3 out of 4 of my rams are 48 psi at idle and the new one with 3k miles is 40 psi.

What is your idle rpm? Factory 550 or higher?

idle rpm is like 900, motor has 290k on it though so i dont expect 40psi at operating temp idle.

Glad you got your issue fixed! I know the feeling about being sick of working on the truck!

Curious how you are not getting an oil pressure error with 85Lbs. Doesn't that exceed the range the ECM is looking for?

No clue but let's not jinx it, this truck was a nightmare
