Focal speakers?

Im doing an audio upgrade (speakers, sub, amps) and the car audio store I went to said to go with focal but I have never heard of them nor anyone else Ive asked. I just wanna know how they compare with other brands like kenwood, alpine or jl. And would a set of 6x9, 6 and a quarter, speaker amp, 10" sub 200w rms and a 600w amp be worth 1700?

Focal is very high end stuff made in France. Amazing sound quality, and very pricey.

Unbroken know's alot about them...
