Fog lamp LEDs

Searching through the threads, I'm not seeing anything on favorite LEDs for the fogs or whether just an LED replacement is good enough or to switch out the whole assembly.

I just installed AlphaRex headlights and they are awesome... Makes the fogs look really yellow now... LOL

I got brackets and switched to cubes.
The light housing would rattle and vibrate making the light go nuts.
Bottom LEDs are flood top ones are pencil beam crossed slightly to eliminate center dead spots in the road.

Waiting on my diode dynamics ss3 fog light kit to be delivered. Should have been here last week, but usps suddenly forgot how to function... That said, every picture I've seen, the ss3's blow everything else out of the water. Wish they'd hurry up and get here....

I have the same ones as simpleman. Just over $100 on Amazon and just as bright as my 5k HIDs. They match perfectly and look great. I had to use the stock bracket on the aftermarket light though to get a snug fit in the bumper cutout. Took a little sanding around the pin holes on the bracket, but fit very well.

I have the Diode Dynamics SS3 fog light kit. Very bright and with the included mounting enclosures, they fit perfectly.

The ss3s that come with the fog bracket are fog beam. But you can buy different lenses in clear or amber and swap them out. The fog pattern throws a wide, low pattern from what I've seen.

On the DiodeDynamics website they have an SAE Driving or SAE Fog pattern available but only the fog comes in amber. There is also three different power levels listed. Any of them come with the mounting bracket.
If your buying them from a third party, those options might not be available.

I got the sport driving lights. I wanted the pro, but they're way more $$$.

Definitely worth the money and bright I like mine so much better than stock

I'm trying to find this 3.0 cougar you are taking about. Not seeing that.

I see on their website there is an H7 and an HB3 ... Do you know what connector we are using for the 1500? I am out of town and don't have a chance to take a look and I'd like to make the order and have it arrived by the time I'm back

Have the Morimoto fog kit, about 2-3 years now?? Just bought the Diode Dynamics kit mentioned in above posts, went with the Max version... go bright!!
