I'm trying to find this 3.0 cougar you are taking about. Not seeing that.

I see on their website there is an H7 and an HB3 ... Do you know what connector we are using for the 1500? I am out of town and don't have a chance to take a look and I'd like to make the order and have it arrived by the time I'm back

Putting LEDs in the stock fog house does make them really bright, more like driving lights. Stock vertical housings are 9006 bulbs.
What makes that less than desirable is if you do end up in fog or snow, all that extra light scattering around can be blinding.
Look into an aftermarket LED fog lights, something like the DiodeDynamic pods mentioned above or Morimoto XB fogs

got my new fogs in...they came with a drl..which is the L in the corner comes on when I start and then there is six pods that are the fogs...I think it looks cool with my customized headlights and white with black screen bezels ....oh through on a eag front grill also....

The one company I would say to stay away from is called "Headlight Experts"... a bunch of pompous, arrogant jerks when you have a return. They'll make sure you know they are the experts and you are always wrong - even when they are wrong.

Here is the set I ordered off of Amazon . 9006 plug and play bulbs for the Fogs, 9005 plug and play for the hi-beams. Amazon may state that these don't fit your Ram because they think you are trying to use the 9006 bulbs for your hi or lo beams.

I think the brand was alltoauto.....fogs w/drl...they were $98 ttd...w/bracket adj.......................amazon...when I get home I'll try to get a link....there's about 3 brands like this...running single drl wire was a breeze...20min job..so it took me about an hour and a half...lol

Searching through the threads, I'm not seeing anything on favorite LEDs for the fogs or whether just an LED replacement is good enough or to switch out the whole assembly.

I just installed AlphaRex headlights and they are awesome... Makes the fogs look really yellow now... LOL

I swapped the bulbs out with yellow halogens and added yellow LaminX film.

Well, I installed the Fogs mentioned above.

I think they are great! Literally took 5 minutes each to install.
