New to the Forum! I am having a problem where the driver side factory fog light is out but the passenger side works fine. I can not find a fuse to check, bulb is not burnt out however I noticed some rust on one side of the connector where the bulb connects to. Any advise would be appreciated.

Maybe clean up the rust and try it? Odd you have that kind of corrosion though. Mine are fairly clean and I'm in a 2010, where we have some nasty winters and deal with a lot of salt.

If you can see corrosion outside of the connector, that's likely your issue.
I would order up a new pig tail, solder and heat shrink it on.
