Found a part in engine bay

I found a part in my engine bay of a 2013 1500 Laramie after I got it back from getting an oil leak fixed. Can anyone tell me what it is?

That goes from the driver side head to the timing cover. Look directly behind the alternator. Below driver side fuel rail.

So basically it's extremely important and I should bring it back to them?

You should take it back to them. Or, see if they replaced it.

It serves a purpose but it’s by no means detrimental if it’s missing.

Based on what, your opinion? If it's there it was determined that it is needed so unless it was replaced with a new one I would go back & have them install it. & give the service manager a lecture on doing work correctly.

The worst part is, this is the Dodge dealership. You'd think they'd know what they're doing

Based on my opinion and experience yes. Should it be there? Yes. Should OP go back and get it straightened out?Absolutely.

Is there a chance of anything actually happening in the mean time or near further if it’s missing? Not Very likely.

It’s just a small brace between the timing cover and cylinder head. There’s also a dozen other bolts attaching the timing cover to the block as well as one right beside that brace that goes to the head as well.

So yes it should be there but it’s nothing to get super worked up about between now and the time OP goes back to the shop.
