Found me a RamBox!

Found this 6.4 RamBox for sale. Think the tailgate is crap but the rest looks ok, still need to see it in person though. What do you all think of these? Any idea what this is really worth paying for?

I can get it for $900 maybe less.

For that price, I’d go for it. Just with those Laramie tail lights you are looking at over $300 from a quick eBay check. Around here all you find are take off 8ft beds for trucks with custom flatbeds made. They go on Facebook marketplace all the time for around $1500.

It’ll be some work though. Swapping bumpers. Changing wiring. Are the Rambox locks power? Have to factor that in too. Would you need alfaOBD to tell it so? Or just wire it in to tailgate lock?

All things to consider. But seems like an acceptable price to me.

My Ram is the same color but I can repaint it if needed. Thinking about offering $700 for it. Still have to figure a way to get it home, I dont own a trailer.

Rent one from tractor supply. Like $15/day buy a few straps and away ya go.

remember that a standard bed tonneau cover doesn't fit the rambox version. I'd like a Rambox setup if i could find one locally for a decent price.

edit: I just checked Fb marketplace and they want $2400 for a bed with no tailgate, and the beds looks pretty beat up

So this RamBox may be a steal for $900 or less?

I'd say yes. Back before i got my truck, i was considering getting a lightly wrecked standard bed truck and finding a rambox bed to swap. They are hard to find, especially anywhere close to where you live. Ended up finding a rambox truck so didn't have to worry about it. $900 is not that bad if you don't have to repaint, and it includes tailgate/lights. Too bad no bed liner.

As far as hauling, flip it upside-down and haul it on your current truck bed?

Makes the inside of bed a lot smaller you,ll see when you want to haul some stuff. I have a locking job box that can be taken in and out of truck cost 375 new weather proof too. But its all what fits your life style. Looks clean hope it works out for you. Also don't forget your gonna sell your bed and theirs most of the money back.

Painting is not that hard, finding a RamBox that aint $2500 is! I found one in Utah, excellent condition in burgundy, you interested? Might be able to get it for around $500.

It looks clean, it is a 2012 or earlier because it doesn’t have the power locks.

I found one like it near here for 1500 that was in not as good shape. I passed on it cause I wanted power lock, and it needed some body work.

I bought one 3 weeks ago locally ...delivered for 2200...It has linex and looks like the bed was never used. It is cherry. Needs no body work, but will need paint .Also has the bed organizer. I bought a new Mopar harness for another 250, with park sense, auto lock, LED taillights, and tailgate cam that I will lay in when I pull the bed.

That is a great deal, you should be there tomorrow with 900 dollars
