Looking at replacing my MTX Thunderform box with a fox box that everyone seems to love.

Not sure what to get though, options are 2-12" sealed or vented, or 2-10" vented.

What does everyone have? And post pictures if you have any.

Thanks.

Fox makes great boxes, but their communication is poor. With yours going to Canada, I would try to get in contact with them first before placing your order.

Now to help with your question, I would go with the 10's if you listen to country/rock and the 12's if you listen to rap.

Yeah I've heard a lot about a great product it is, and even more about lack of communication.

And as far as music goes that's the problem. I listen to Rock/Dubstep/Techno/Country the whole works. I've been leaning towards 12" because i've used 10's my whole life and I always seem to want a little more boom.

12's will be louder, but the bass is not as tight. That is why they work so well for rap and not so well with faster paced rock. With the 10" box being ported, it is going to put out more bass than a standard sealed box, so I personally would go with the 10's. Lets see what the others that are running these boxes have to say first though. Opinions on music quality differ from person to person, so what I like might sound terrible to you.

Convert, for now.

10's ported over 12's sealed, even with the cone advantage.

probably not 12's, but 10's, depending on which model the can accomidate.

Ported will usually always be louder than sealed.

I have 4 10s sealed and would take them over 12s anyday
My 10s will hit lower then a lot of people's 12s cause how there tuned
Its all in tuning and airspace matched to the right airspace for the sub

Ya it's not to shabby
I was goin to run a center console box and mold it into the existing box and port it but for time being I hve opted out of that

I had a center console box in my 08 cummins and like it but it's a totally different sound

That is a sweet setup, i'm guessing that box is custom made? From all your guys' opinions I think i'm leaning towards the 2 Vented 10" Foxbox. Only ****** thing is, is by the time I pay shipping to Canada it's $300 :shakehead:
