how is your amp hooked up/ loc or lc2I?
i'm going back n forth whether I want to buy a T- harness from net audio, put a loc tap into rear speakers and use rear cig lighter or buy lc2i.
is bass roll off that big a deal on these trucks?
how do the seal boxes sound? I listen to more county n rock.
Tapped the wires off the back of the head unit. Like I said though if i could do it over I would go t harness and lc7 or if you are only adding a sub amp in your case use the lc2. I think the even offer a pre wired loc as an option with the t harness!I meant how is your amp getting signal. ARe you using loc, lc2i, or wire straight from back of head unit etc..

How did you plug it? I was thinking about trying on mine but worried about rattles coming from it, leaking or screwing up the boxI have a single ported 10'' Fox box... I had to plug the port hole because I was getting very muddy, long bass notes and the port noise was driving me insane. Now that the port is plugged my bass sounds much tighter and more precise.
I cant say enough good things about Fox Acoustics though. Great quality and great craftsmanship, and they're located in my home state!

fox is located in Louisiana?
I guess it wouldn't take too long to a box shipped from Houma to Lafayette lol
Im thinking of going sealed 12 inch box.

Ah. It probably didn't sound very good because the air space requirement for that sub is a lot more than the volume of the enclosure. You were choking it to death. And getting tons of port noise from running stuff below the 36 hz tuning frequency. Sealed up, it should be about right. Glad you got it sounding decent. I don't have any issues with my RE Audio sub, but I also don't play low stuff. Rock and metal only hit my sub. With the occasional old school rap, but none of that new garbage.I stuffed the hole with a grout sponge first. It was about 2'' thick and conformed to the size of the hole really good. Then I cut a piece of 3/8'' Lauan that fit all the way down the length of the box. I Siliconed around where the Lauan met the Fox box just to seal it off better. Then I used short sheet rock screws to screw the new board down.
I used a sponge inside the port hole because I was worried about all that pressure blowing through the Lauan. In my head, the sponge acts as a kind of barrier between the sound waves and the thin plywood covering the hole.
I still may paint the Lauan with bedliner just to match the Fox Box.
Notice in the last picture how I raised my seat up a bit with a couple of the kids' Legos... Worked perfectly!

I am using a Audio Control LC6I for the signal to the amp. WIred up behind the radio to the LC6I. Then RCA to the amp.

I have a crew cab
Tel me if u think this would work..
use lc2i get left and right signal from rear speakers. hook Rca from lc21 to Mon block amp. use 12v n ground off mono amp, use rear cig light for remote.
Say I want to run a 4 channel amp down the road, could I just use the mono block output rca to connect to the 4 channel amp. I would lose fade but I would keep right to left? correct? From 4 channel amp run new wires to front n rear speakers, leave dash (3 1/2 )connected to factory radio. Install resistors where the front speakers are so the radio will play dash speakers.
what you guys think?
