So my new 2019 Laramie has a pair of accent lights above and below each headlight. I do investigative work at nights and I need to find away to turn those off. Dealership was no help neither was Ram owners website or 800 number. Trying here to see if anyone can help. These are not the DRL driving lights and the only way these go off is to turn the truck off.

Well I’m pretty sure just like I told the last person that asked this question; you’re probably gonna have to either jerk a fuse, cut a wire or wire in a switch to turn them off as I don’t think you can turn them off.

I don’t remember what all the other guy said but does setting your parking brake while it’s running not turn them off? Or not, then what said on the first part of my post is probably your only option, I’m afraid to say.

There is however, a device called an Alpha OBD that allows for many features- even ones that the dealer can’t even control that you may think about looking into that might make it to where you can turn those off without cutting wires or pulling fuses but your truck might be too new for it to work with, I dunno. It’ll work with my 2018 but I have to remove and bypass my security module thing in order to use it. Which is fine but if I ever need warranty work done, I have to put it back in order for the dealer’s computer to be able to talk to my truck, and this module is behind the radio.

There’s also another brand of similar-like device that does the same thing apparently but it too requires bypassing that module in order for it to work.

Good luck.

Couple of quick things: There's no official support for the 2019's in AlphaOBD, yet. If you get a security bypass cable from M2Mods You will not have to remove the module.

You still have to dig into the dash just to get to it. Or at least on mine I do.
