I knew about the ring gear but I already have 3.92 gears so no need to swap. If I have to rebuild mine I might find a 4.10 geared from a 3rd gen or custom SAS with a Dana 44 and the steering parts from a 6.4 2500

That's a pretty big jump from A to B lolI knew about the ring gear but I already have 3.92 gears so no need to swap. If I have to rebuild mine I might find a 4.10 geared from a 3rd gen or custom SAS with a Dana 44 and the steering parts from a 6.4 2500
The 4.56 would be too much on my truck. The 3.92 with stocks was really low. 3.92 with 35s feel great but 4.10 would put me back into where I want. I’m just above 2000rpm on the interstate doing 70mph with the 3.92 so I couldn’t imagine 4.56 gears. And yea. There’s no in between for me. Lol. It’s all or nothing. That's a pretty big jump from A to B lol
@DILLIGAF is dead set on convincing everyone to jump to 4.56s, so 4.10s might be too low
Got my cardone hd CV shaft...there's no clip. Anyone have the part#?I think the clip @crazykid1994 is referring to is inside the CV axle end that slides over the output shafts from the diff, not an exterior retaining clip.
See the grooves in both sides output shafts? There's a clip inside the CV axle that snaps into that groove

Can one simply remove front CV shafts altogether and drive it? I'm thinking I should maybe replace the output stubs but have no clue what that's gonna involve, but I want to stop the clinking and clankingMopar Replacement 68146592AA
