I have a 99 ram 1500. I bought from a guy that used it to launch his dory boat into the ocean. He put a hitch on the front to launch it that way. So the whole front end is hammered and needs new suspension work. Problem is everything is so rusted out I can't remove anything. So I found a complete full font end off of an 01 1500. Wondering if I can use it on my 99.

1999 - 2001 1500 cabs were the same, except for the number of doors

In 2002, the body style changed on the 1500s

The body style on the Heavy Duty cabs, did not change until 2003

Short answer, yes. Brakes will be different though

Make sure it’s the same gear ratio. There’s not much of a difference other than the brake calipers but they should work just fine.
