If you look at my pics or most 03-05 1500's there is a black plastic strip under the bumper and I want to remove it to make it look bigger from the front. I looked underneath and there is only 5 or 6 bolts connecting it to the bumper but two of them are hidden in some sort of bumper/truck connection. Anyone removed this or know of an easy way to?

I switched titles because I thought of a way to make it look even.

I have removed that from my truck though, accidentally while mudding lol. If their the same type of clips as the 4th gen, all you need is a screw driver to pry them apart

I wish it was but i have to use a socket to get them off. There are 3 of them that are easily accessed but 2 are hidden and i'm thinking that I will have to unhook my bumper to take it out. :suicide: And yeah your post that looks random would probably work lol.

You know what I'm talking about when it comes to those hidden ones right? How did you get to them??

Nice, and if you want you can bolt up your license plate using the bottom holes like I did. I lost mine when it was hangin down when I went mudding one time lol

As I was reading this, I was going to suggest the same thing. On the 4wd trucks, the bumper looks much better with that lower valance removed.

How did you end up getting those two bolts? I took mine off a while ago but never could figure out how to remove them.

Ok I will move my license plate soon. And I had a small socket that i was able to fit my hand in that small hole (you probably know what im talking about). It took like 4 minutes for each one but mainly because you can only move the handle 1/8th of a turn each time.
You said you did get it off?
