I have a 2003 Ram 1500 with only 61,500 and getting a wobble from side to side. Starts about 40mph and gets worse at higher speeds. It is intermittent. I have rotated the tires to eliminate that. I have also jacked up the front end and checked for free play on the tires. Not the bearings. I took it to the local dealer and they flushed the power steering system. It was black. I noticed on the upper control arms that the rubber seals that the bolts sit inside is worn and looks like there is room for them to move. The rubber is not touching from end to end. Would that possibly cause the problem? Any help / advice is greatly appreciated.

May post this in the 3rd gen section to. I have seen on you tube where the track bar is usually the reason for front end wobble. If the rubber from end to end is not touching that maybe the issue

What your expriencing is something pretty common in Dodges, due to the coil-spring front suspension systems they have. There's quite the list of reasons and diagnosis for this. I would check the track bar and drag link bolts, to make sure their all tight.
For mine, my steering was what was causing the issue. I twisted the the adjustable threaded arm on my drag link using the 2 15mm bolts. Problem fixed.
Last thing I can tell you to do, is either you or a mechanic should check your toe to make sure all is aligned and how it should be. Best of luck to you,

A 2003 Ram 1500 does not have front coils, a track bar, or a drag link. Let's make sure we know the suspension system we're talking about before making suggestions here boys. A 2003 Ram 1500 is IFS with torsion bars.

OP, it sounds like your ball joints may be the culprit of this. Likely time for them to be replaced. However my other question is, what wheels/tires are you running on the truck?
