Front Tow Hooks

Hi,
My 2009 Ram 1500 SLT does not have front tow hooks. i would like to have them installed. Local dealer can do for $220.

I have read somewhere that the MOPAR tow hooks are attached to the front bumper assembly and not directly to frame. the post indicated that when used, the front bumper was pulled out of alignment.

Is this true? if so, how can i install tow hooks directly to frame?

I think they attach to the frame, I know mine do anyway.

I *THINK* they are attached to the frame at the front bumper mount. If you pull the tow hooks off center, the bumper also gets pulled with it. Try to pull straight, if possible, or else keep an eye on your torque on the bolts.
