Fuel filter light on.

'14 Ram 6.4 filter light came on after a few days of check engine light being on. Is this something reasonable easy to change? On vacation 200 miles from home so can it waite a bit? Will I need to reset the code when done?

I had a fuel related icon pop up on my dash, I didn`t know what it meant at first so I looked it up on-line....turns out it`s related to a faulty fuel filler cap! (I had installed a NAPA locking cap) I reinstalled the OEM cap and after a couple of start cycles the icon went out and no further issues, so consider ckg/replacing the fuel cap.

Hey Ram jet, the icon does look like a gas cap. That is what is confusing me. Doesn't that look like a cap?

Try disconnecting the battery for a good 15 min. If it comes back get it scanned.

Looks like the gas cap. Make sure it is on tight and if there are no other faults, it should drop the code after three key cycles (key on, drive, key off x 3)

The other way to potentially clear the code is as U&A noted...pull the negative battery cable and leave it sit. My experience is that it takes at least 30 minutes for everything to reset.

Yes, that is the same icon I got on my dash, after I looked it up, it was confirmed that the icon is a gas cap!
Check that your cap is on/tight, if the light still persists you can try disconnecting the neg batt cable as others have noted or buy a inexpensive gas cap and try that....
Remember, on today`s cars/trucks even a loose gas cap (which is tied into the evap system) can throw a code!
