fuel injector replacement

hello i been chasing a misfire and i figured out it was the fuel injector.
For context, when swapping injectors to find the misfire, i cleaned all 8 injectors with brake cleaner all around. I guess there is a couple routes i can go with this replacement...
1.change that one injector? and if i do chnage that one injector where can i find that replacement?? I was looking at rockauto and other places to find a mopar one and i cant for some reason.
2. change all 8 injectors??

I would change only the one injector that has failed. No reason to replace a part that is not bad and waste your money.

Take a look at the Mopar wholesaler's online like mymoparparts.com or ones like them. You can put in your VIN and see if they have the correct part for your truck.

New OEM are about $65 a piece from most online mopar parts houses. It should be easy to diagnose which one is causing the misfire by pulling the codes or even pulling the plug for the injector until you find the one that doesn't cause a change in how it's running.
There are injector pulse testers in Amazon for about $20-25 that you can use to clean injectors better than just spraying with brake clean.

A can of carb cleaner spraying while cycling will generally clean out a dirty injector pretty well. I've used a similar device to clean mine and brought them back to life.

I rigged up a momentary switch with a 9V battery, and a metal valve stem from O'Reilly's. (Thanks, Rick, aka @Wild one)


You can flush them both directions with carb and choke cleaner.

Injector cleaning

Supposed to go cold and snow for the next 10 days,so i figured it was a good time to pull the injectors and give them a cleaning.Got them soaking in injector cleaner,where i'll probably leave them for a couple days before using some carb and choke cleaner to wash them out using my old homemade...

it was indeed easier than i thought to diagnose the misfire. i was dumb and just replaced the spark plugs and it did not solve anything. i swapped coils and injectors. then the code followed the injector. i will get my hands on that one tester asap

Ed's set up is way fancier then my old set-up,if you're going to build this style cleaner set up,definitely copy Eds set-up

If I had to do it over, I'd probably lengthen the wiring a bit, its a little tricky to hold the stem/injector, the tube to can, and press the button and spray.

But it worked well enough for now, and got me through the job.

If i'm by myself doing them Ed,i'll usually wrap a rag around the injector then clamp it in one of my bench vises,it's a little easier to keep the injector from dislodging out of your hand

RockAuto should have the injector.

Type in the OE part number and search it that way.

This is the injector for my '15

Allmoparparts.com shows the same part # for your '09, except -AA suffix. $60 and change. The AC suffix is a later rev, same part.
