09 Dodge Ram 1500 CREW CAB. Do I have to drop the tank or can I lift the bed for access? I've heard a few say on a crew cab, you have to drop the tank? Is this true or can I just lift the bed? Thanks....

Whichever route you choose to go requires you take out the rear driver side fender liner to access the fuel tank. You'll need to disconnect all the necessaries from the tank prior to installation of your new fuel pump. From there you can choose whether taking the bed off or dropping the take makes more sense to you.

It was much easier for me to drop the tank.

All jokes aside if you have a few buddy's bed Removal would be the easiest. New beds are very light. When I put a flat bed on my chevy took use 15mins and 2 guys lifted it off.

I've done it both ways. If you have the setup, lifting the bed is much easier. The fuel tank is a pain in the ass to drop because of the tight space, having to disconnect lines etc, and it's even worse trying to get it back in place and the tank straps re-connected. It's basically the fuel tank/evap disconnect as someone else pointed out, rear tail lights and electric lines, and like 6 large bolts.
