Fuel tank; part

2008 Ram 1500 5.7Hemi. I have a 26 gal tank and found I have a fuel leak. I found the leak but for some reason I can not find out what the name of the part is. It is forward of the fuel tank, in front of the fuel pump. I have maybe found out it is called a roll over valve, part of the emissions? I have tried to find a diagram with part names to know for sure. Does anyone know or have one I can look at?

Sounds like you named it right. It's there to prevent a fuel spill if you roll your truck. It's a small check valve designed to vent the tank but also to seal it if the shiny side hits the asphalt.

it is possible that the fitting needed to be detached for some reason.

In that case the fuel fittings are a little tricky to work
