Will do. Think I'm pulling back on the arh and will probably just go jba shorties. They're Cali legal and a lot less pricey. I'll then throw in a MF exaust

Yeah,....you definitely won't get the same performance out of the shorties compared to the long tubes. I have strict emissions in MA as well. It sucks bad. lol
I wonder if the custom tune will make it pass emissions though? I know I can get long tubes for my Roush and the tune will turn of the CEL and make it pass emissions. But, that's a Ford product.

I think the difference is 15 hp between long and short. So extra $1500 for 15 more hp. I'd love the longs as I don't have smog for 5-6 years but not sure if it's worth it.

For that $1500 I think I can pull a hemifever,TB and exaust

In Cali, the issue is not even just passing emission testing itself. On the visual test, headers will not pass smog with out a "c.a.r.b. exempt" or "c.a.r.b. certified" sticker or certificate, regardless of shorty or LT.

JBA went throught the c.a.r.b. certifying process (expensive and time consuming) to get their shorties passed. Not even BBk shorties are Cali certified.

BTW, Volant went through the process to get their CAI carb certified, too.

Here's what I got with some more research and going over parts to try to make sure they are correct. What do you guys think.

1. Diablo sport trinity tuner with hemi fever tune (91 octane) and A pillar mount - 2014 8speed
2. Jba ceramic coated shorty headers
3. Vararam black intake. Should I go textured or smooth?
4. 87mm throttle body
5. Magnaflow y pipe with 2.5" in and 3.0" out

Everything looks good. On the Vararam cover, go textured if you are NOT planning on painting it, or putting any stickers, decals or vinyl on it.

Go smooth if you are planning on doing ANYTHING with it.

I got textured when I first ordered, and now I have a smooth one on order because I wanna carbon fiber wrap it...

Gabe,....not sure if the Vararam intake is emissions legal. I may be wrong?
You may want to check on that.

So for this set up would anyone recommend a 85mm TB over the 87mm. Don't want to loose low end torque as it's mainly my DD. Read over on the Z that 85mm may suit these mods better

Not much ram mods other than planning to put on my airlift 1000 next week but it did finally finish up the front suspension on my tacoma. Installed secondary shocks and shock hoops. 2.5" triple bypass shocks with QAB. Also re located my limit straps . I'm stoked as this pretty much wraps up that build to a certain point. Bitter sweet.

Looks pretty crazy under there! I am still figuring out what all that is, lol! Very cool stuff!

Thanks David ! Some long hours getting it all worked out and a good amount of coin spent.

You're looking at (combined with other side of front end ) is 1/3 of a new Toyota FRS lol. It's a total chaos upper and lower arm long travel kit, gusseted spindles, coilbucket and cam tabs. Fox coilovers with reservoir and fox triple bypass shocks with QAB . Limited buy kartek limit straps. 3.5" extended length axles for 4wd.

Put in the airlift 1000 on the ram this evening . It's a work truck and I carry normally 100-250 lbs per day. I'm liking how it feels already . I took off the spare tire also (64lbs). Last pic is truck with about 100 lbs in bed with 12 psi and no spare tire .

Looks good to me. :)

How is the ride??

Rode fine. I only took it up the street and hit some dips and the dips felt great . I was bottoming out the rear on a few dips along my route because of the weight . I should be all good now. Just need to find a smaller psi measuring gauge.

I removed the spare tire and jack/jack tools . I wanted to remove the towing hitch too. Know anybody who has removed these items off a rt or any effect it will have. I know the spare tire weighed 64lbs. My bed mat weights 40lbs. Not sure yet on hitch.

Cool. I heard the tow bar is quiet heavy, I am planning on removing it too when I do the custom rollpan.
