Gas Mileage

We just bought a 2012 1500 ST CrewCab 4x2 w/Hemi a week ago. I mentioned in another post we got a really good deal on the price plus it came with under 200KM on it.

We took it on a day trip from Vancouver to Whistler today, mainly highway (90%) and almost 300KM. I filled it up before the trip and the gauge just hit the 3/4 full mark by the time we got home. Even if it's not accurate and I used 30L; 10L per 100KM is damn good and the engine isn't even "broken-in" yet! My former Mazda 5 wagon has a 2.5L 4cyl and didn't do much better from what I recall. Nice 8)

Thanks Bailey, down to the 1/4 mark right now and at 540KM. Going to work is 35KM one way and 30/70 city/hwy driving. This is my first full tank so results will be different next time around. Either way, impressed so far.

Just filled up today, approx. gas mileage so far is 13.5L per 100KM. A good mix of city/hwy. In comparing apples to oranges my former Mazda 5 wagon got 10.5L per 100KM and that was from a 2.5L 4cyl. not even half the size of the Hemi!

I don't get anywhere near that. I am averaging 20L/100km in my 4wd sport. I live in Mission and we have lots of hills though. I also have a heavy foot. I like the sound of my S&B and Maggy a little to much lol

I'm in Burnaby, work in Langley 4 sometimes 5 days a week depending on overtime. I take the Alex Fraser and 10 Hwy to avoid the troll bridge The other 2 days of the week are mainly city driving. I too like the sound of the Hemi, stock muffler though.
