I have a 2014 Sport. I have the window sticker and also the equipment listing of my truck. Everything states a 26 gallon tank...and up until today, it seemed correct. Today I filled up just under 28 gallons...ummmm????

Pump inaccurate? You might take a look at the sticker on the pump next time, if it has one, to verify the last time it was calibrated/checked. I had a similar situation a few years back with another Ram and when I was done pumping saw that was laying for four gallons more than my tank would hold. I brought it to the attention of the station clerk who stated they were having problems with the calibration on the pump and refunded me the overage.

I don't remember which state agency has the responsibility to check the accuracy of the pumps at service stations. You might call TxDOT and see if they have the responsibility or maybe they can tell you the appropriate agency. It might save other people from being ripped off, however they seem to be pretty up front about their problem.

The department of agriculture regulates gas pumps, I find that interesting. It's a common gas station scam. Most people just fill up and don't think twice about it.

I’m am sooooo sorry! I thought almost everybody lived in the Great Republic of Texas except for Nancy and Chuck. :)

The link below is the one you want for the Great State of Minnesota. Been to a few hockey camps at Detroit Lakes with my son...love the state.

That's interesting, I don't know if you got an inaccurate pump that day or what. I have kind of the opposite thing, I ordered a 32 gallon tank and I've never put more than 28 gallons in no matter how empty it said it was.

There have been a couple of threads about this problem--they're about the same length as "War and Peace". You can read all about the problem if you have about a week or so----

I guess as soon as we talk about yer famous former governor from yer town, LMAO, all in fun.

My tank on MY 19 Calibration wrong. I have a 26 gallon tank but calibration set for lower standard 23 gallon tank. I cannot get it set correctly even at dealer as FCA wants me to drain tank, leave truck, then "dealer" will see how fuel can be put in, wat a bunch of BS, is what it is......

And if U go to a gas station, and say U know U have a 26 gallon tank, but put in an alleged "28" gallons, U getting ripped off. Look at pump and see what certification sticker is there. There will be some type of weights and measurements sticker on there, and they R the people in yer state U complain to, just saying...

BUT in the end, if U wanna drive, U gotta pay, and fill dat "tank" LMAO

Have them drop the tank and weigh it, it's not rocket science. **** them you paid for a truck with x miles of range. The fuel guage ticks me off. I want to take a 4oo+ mile round trip and not worry about whether my guage is accurate. Right now I'm losing fuel points filling up some somewhere along the trip because my guage is not accurate. They are costing me money, and can kiss my ass. When there is a fix I'll be the first in line.

I made that trip 6 or 8 times this winter and it cost me 3 or 4 bucks a trip in fuel points. That's gas out of my pocket. Way the guage is now your carrying an extra 50 lbs of cargo for the life of the truck. I'm no good at math but that's has to be some lost mpg.. I'm not going to waste my time until they have a fix. Man if your filling up at 3/4 of a tank with the broken guage your leaving 10 gallons of fuel in the tank.

From Alaska... where does the line start for Texas jokes, we have a ton of 'em!!!!
Funny...I'm originally from Alaska...grew up in Fairbanks, Anchorage and Kenai...also spent time in Wasilla. I had to unlearn all our Texas jokes when I wandered too far south from home.
