Gear Ratio swap questions

I just recently noticed that on my 4x4 sport '12 that my gear ratio was 3.55 and i thought that was a little weak for my lifted truck and bigger tires. Does anyone know how much a swap to 3.92 would cost? and would doing this void my warranty?

It's still going to cost you just as much as it would to go with 4.56 gears, although I know they don't have them for yours yet. A gear swap for me cost $1700. Going with OEM gears are going to cost you probably about the same as with a brand like Yukon.

Your 3.55s will handle the 37s fine. I know a couple guys (BigHorn and Thor09) with 3.55s and 37s for some time now. Personally, I'd save your money until they get 4.56 out. I had 3.92s before I upgraded, and I really wasn't that impressed with them with 37s so I couldn't recommend doing it. I think you'd be disappointed for the amount of money you'd spend.

Gears are around $400 for factory ones and then labor would be the expensive part. No voided warranty. Another option would be get the rearend from a 09-12 wrecked truck and just swap it in(the 09-10 rearend will bolt right into a 11+)
