Gearing question for gear head.

Hi .. I have a Dodge Ram 1500 St and I want to change the gear ratio. Dodgers weight specifications on my truck for towing capacity on this is 7100 lb I noticed that the express & Tradesman both have 9100 lbs and I see that they have different gear ratios one at 3:55 and the other is 3.92. Both of those have a towing capacity that is the same at 9100 lb so which gear ratio should I choose and what's the difference in performance out of the 3.55 + 3.92 thank you for your help.

I have the express with a hemi, 8 speed trans and 3.21 gears and my tow capacity is 8096. Is your a v6?

I have the 5.7 Hemi but according to Dodges weight specifications the numbers I put in the message up there as what I got off their website..

I just checked the website and it says that you have the 392 rear end for the express. The Tradesman says it has the 355 rear end and the St model comes with the 321. And that is with the V8 5.7 all with the same transmission 6-speed

Nope I have a express and it has 3.21 gears. Not sure what site your looking at.
