Hello All,

I've had 4 RAMs (3 GEN 5's) and I have never had this issue, wondering if anyone else has. It's hard to describe but I have noticed a sound I can only describe as the soft rumble of a 2L soda bottle rolling in my bed when I come to a stop (minus the 'thud'). It's so strange, I actually thought I left something in the bed the first time I heard it. Now that I have ~600 miles on the clock I seem to hear it more often but mainly when the truck is cool, I don't notice it after it warms up. My next step is to get under the bed and start checking everything I can put my hands on for movement but I was hoping someone else could tell me I'm not going crazy :p

Maybe with a "helper" you could use a floor jack on either end to see if you could duplicate the sound. Then maybe you could isolate where it is coming from, and take action to correct it. Just a thought.

Do you have a spare under there? I got some weird thumping once when mine loosened and thudded back and forth (different truck, not my RAM).

I would lower the spare and make sure nothing was left inside the rim area. Then make sure it is seated tight when raised.

Saw someone post last week about a sound they were hearing when slowing down. They described it as sounding like liquid flowing. Turned out to be water trapped in the side steps. You might try removing one of the caps on each side and see if anything drains out.
