Good news we're fixing your recalled HPFP! Bad news we broke your fuel lines in the process!

Thought they were replacing the fuel lines as part of the recall?

You would think they would keep an extra (or 2 or 3) sets since they are so fragile...

It's good that you got your loaner. There still is no excuse for cutting off the fuel lines.

Dealership finally came through with a rental vehicle on my HPFP failure. It was day 10 by that time. Nice to get the pump replaced before the failure as it is (usually) a lot less parts to slow the time without your prime vehicle. Good luck and has anyone lost trust in their vehicle over these incidents?

Sad state that my 2022 Ecodiesel is still not repaired. Still have the loader which is accumulating lots of miles though not the same as having my vehicle back.

How many days?

Reason for the delay?

Thinking of scheduling mine later this month.

Delay was due to parts, dealership scheduling, and manufacturer protocols probably in that order. My situation was from a failure of the pump, not a preventative replacement. Push for the earliest replacement, there was no warning prior to the failure.

Follow-up on my dear poor Ram Ecodiesel. After posting a negative Google review, emails to Lithia and FCA, and postings on this forum, there was a "rush" job to fix my truck. Four hours later, they contacted me that the vehicle was ready. I don't know what spurred them on but the final piece to the puzzle was to disconnect some sensors, try a start, and reconnect the sensors, more or less a computer reboot. With 300 miles of experience, mileage and performance are the same as old, feeling vastly superior to any of the rental or loaner vehicles. Smog check shows all but two tests have completed successful, remaining ones are pending.

Lessons learned: Ram Care, Lithia Cares are misnomers. Negative feedback and personal visits to the dealership seem to matter more. Neither the dealership nor FCA compensate for five months of lost use and depreciation. I still don't know how the new HPFP is improved over the notorious Bosch CP4.2 pump. I am packing a Garmin InReach and upgrading AAA service as the next failure could put us in a really bad situation. Keep posting you all.
