Goodyear Duratrac VS General Grabber AT

My brother gifted me a set of used duratracs. What pressures do you guys run these at as the shop that out rhem on had them at 35 and when I hit ice on road it almost felt like tire was rolling on itself. I love n Maine of that matters but even 45 psi seems like it would be a better idea then the 40 I got in now.

Size, E or D rated, are they on your 1500, if do how much weight or is truck running basically empty. You can find Duratrac pressure charts on line by tire size and rating. I have always found their recommended settings to work pretty well.

Not sure on the rating but they are a 275 65 20 just feels like when I was going over ice they were rolling fin themselves.

Open the list link I sent you, click at the top and you can find that size. If you scroll all the way down it tells you all tires that come in that size as well as which trucks they came on standard.

According to the list it looks like that size only comes in E.

Im glad i got the Duratracs, living in MN the weather is unpredictable and its handled every thing and anything so far with on and off the roads.
best bet is to do a lot of research and reading. lots of good tires out there.

Even fully loaded 45 psi on that tire should be lots on a half ton, according to their pressure chart.

Yeah I got 40 right now maybe the bounciness is from the bilsteins all around.

Since we are replying to year old threads. What do you mean by “most Duratrac” tires? There is only one Duratrac. Also the grabbers out perfom the Duracraps on wet and or snowy roads, on or off road. The only place the Duracraps are “superior” is mud, road noise and steering wheel buzz. Lol
